In a shocking incident that occurred on Saturday night, more than 10 people were injured in a shooting at a water park near Detroit. According to police, the suspect was still at large and the incident was described as random. The shooter used a semi-automatic Glock 9 mm and fired approximately 30 shots.

The shooting took place at Brooklands Plaza Splash Pad Park in Rochester Hills, Michigan, around 5 pm local time. Police initially reported five fatalities, but it is not clear if there were any deaths. Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said that the gunman reloaded the gun several times during the incident.

Rochester Hills is located about 50 kilometers north of Detroit and has recently been hit by multiple tragedies, including a mass school shooting in Oxford Township in 2021. The community is now reeling from the violence that has taken place in their midst. Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer expressed her sorrow upon hearing about the shooting and emphasized the need for gun safety measures.
