Six talented archers, including European Championships silver medallist Bryony Pitman and teenage Games debutants Penny Healey and Megan Havers, have been selected to represent Team GB in the Paris Games this summer. They will be joined by men’s squad members Tom Hall, who won silver at the European Grand Prix and bronze at the European Field Championship last year, Conor Hall, a European Field Champion and bronze medallist at the Final Olympic Quota Tournament, and Alex Wise.

As chef de mission of Team GB, Mark England expressed excitement about the potential of the squad in Paris. He highlighted Pitman and Hall’s experience as crucial for supporting the newcomers. Performance director Tom Duggan echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of their expertise in guiding the team through the competition.

Pitman is a 27-year-old former world rankings topper who has achieved numerous accolades in international competition. Healey is an 19-year-old European Championships silver medallist who has also reached top rankings in world competition. Havers is a 16-year-old rising star who has also achieved success on an international stage. The men’s squad includes Hall, 33, who has won numerous medals in international competition over his career, including silver at last year’s European Grand Prix and bronze at the European Field Championship.

The archery events at the Paris Games will take place from July 25th to August 4th and feature men’s and women’s singles and team events as well as a mixed team event. This competition presents a unique opportunity for these talented archers to showcase their skills on an international stage and compete against some of the best athletes from around the world.
