Drinking Juices for Healthy Skin

Pomegranate juice, citrus fruits, apples, watermelon, tomatoes, and celery are all rich in vitamins, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatories that can help reduce skin aging. Skin aging is caused by two main factors: exogenous and endogenous. Exogenous factors such as sunlight, environmental pollution, and poor nutrition account for 90% of skin aging, while endogenous factors due to hormonal changes and genetic makeup account for the remaining 10%.

To protect the skin from within and within out, Doctor Tran Thi Tra Phuong from the Nutrihome Nutrition Center recommends a combination of external anti-aging measures like sunscreen and appropriate cosmetics as well as a healthy diet. Drinking juices or smoothies made from fresh fruits and colorful vegetables can boost immunity, prevent skin diseases, and help reduce the signs of aging.

Red pomegranate juice is rich in resveratrol which can boost the immune system and slow down the skin aging process. It also contains essential vitamins and polyphenols with anti-aging and anti-inflammatory properties. Fruit juices like citrus fruits provide vitamin C and flavonoids to combat aging, protect the skin, and fade dark spots.
