Sony has announced the release of the highly anticipated remake of Silent Hill 2. The game will be exclusive to the PS5 console and will also be available on PC starting from October 8th. The remake promises to bring a modernized gameplay style and perspective to the classic game, featuring enhancements such as 3D audio, haptic feedback, and the adaptive triggers of the DualSense controller.

During the State of Play event in May, Sony showcased a new trailer for the game, giving fans a glimpse of what to expect. Unlike the original Silent Hill 2, which was developed by Konami, the remake is being handled by Bloober Team, a Polish studio known for their work on horror games like Layers of Fear and The Medium. Following the State of Play event, Konami hosted the Silent Hill Transmission event, focusing primarily on Silent Hill 2.
