Prediabetes is a condition that occurs when blood sugar levels are higher than normal but not high enough to be diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. It can be caused by a combination of factors, including consuming too much food, especially those high in sugar, processed carbs, and trans fats, being sedentary and sitting for prolonged periods, and eating excessive amounts of fruit juice.

Eating red meat can also contribute to prediabetes as it is high in saturated fat and cholesterol. Saturated fat can reduce insulin sensitivity and the activity of beta cells in the pancreas, leading to difficulty in controlling blood sugar levels. Processed red meat containing preservatives and additives can be harmful to the pancreas, which plays a key role in regulating insulin.

Drinking excessive amounts of fruit juice can also contribute to prediabetes as it adds to the intake of added sugars, leading to empty calories, weight gain, and other health issues. Fruit juices often lack the fiber and nutrients present in whole fruits, causing a spike in blood sugar levels and overloading the liver.

Being sedentary and sitting for prolonged periods can also contribute to obesity, insulin resistance, and an increased risk of prediabetes. Incorporating regular exercise into daily routine can help improve blood circulation
