Shrewsbury has signed Toby Savin on a two-year deal from Accrington Stanley. At just 23 years old, Savin has already accumulated over 100 professional appearances. The young goalkeeper was previously on loan at Stevenage before deciding to move up a level and join League One Shrewsbury.

Shrewsbury head coach Paul Hurst expressed his excitement about the signing, noting that the goalkeeper had attracted interest from higher-level clubs. Hurst believes that Savin has the potential to become an excellent goalkeeper and is confident that the coaching staff can help him reach his full potential.

Savin made his debut for Accrington in 2017 and eventually became a regular starter before his loan spell at Stevenage in February 2023. With his talent and experience, Shrewsbury hopes to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.

The addition of Savin marks the fourth summer signing for Shrewsbury, following the addition of midfielder Harrison Biggins. The club continues to build a strong roster for the upcoming campaign with this latest acquisition.
