Medina will be celebrating Small Business Saturday on November 25 to promote local businesses in the city. Small Business Saturday is part of a larger “Shop Small Movement” founded by American Express in 2010, which aims to support small businesses and communities across the country. This year, Medina will be participating in the event to help draw in more customers and support local businesses.

Starting at 11 am on the 25th, a table will be set up in the Huntington Bank lobby located at 39 Public Square with “Shop Small” handouts and information about Medina’s small business community. Santa Claus will also be making an appearance from noon-2 pm at Wichert Insurance, 119 N. Court St., adding to the festive atmosphere.

Medina’s recent Main Street press release highlights that over 90% of the business district store fronts are filled with local, independent retail shops, boutiques, restaurants and pubs, as well as a wide range of services. This shows just how important it is to support local businesses and help them thrive.
