The White Sox experienced their first sell-out of the season on Wednesday at Guaranteed Rate Field, with Shohei Ohtani being a major draw for fans. The South Side team currently ranks 27th in MLB attendance and averages 16,709 fans per game at home and 22,263 per game overall.

Ohtani is widely considered to be one of the best and most popular players in the league, and his presence on Wednesday likely contributed to the sell-out. The Dodgers, on the other hand, lead in home attendance with an average of 33,765 fans per game at Dodger Stadium. They bring in an average of 47,523 fans on the road, which is also the most in the league.

In this series against the White Sox, Ohtani has been a standout player. He is currently batting .428 with two runs scored and three RBIs in just seven at-bats. Ohtani signed a record-breaking $700 million deal with the Dodgers last offseason after transitioning from the Angels.
