In a shocking bombing by Russian forces in the Ukrainian town of Vilniusk in the southern Zaporizhia region, at least seven people were killed and 18 others were injured, according to Interior Minister Igor Klimenko. The attack targeted civilians in the city center on a day off, which was described as cynical and cruel by the Minister of the Interior on his Facebook account.

Among the casualties were two children who lost their lives, while four other children were among those injured in the bombing. The bombings resulted in fires breaking out in commercial establishments, homes, and vehicles, causing damage to civil infrastructure in the area.

Ukrainian President Volodímir Zelensky commented on the situation on Telegram, highlighting the daily suffering of Ukrainian cities and communities due to Russian attacks. He emphasized the need to combat terrorists, destroy Russian missile launchers, utilize long-range capabilities, and increase the presence of modern air defense systems in Ukraine.
