The Cannes Film Festival has been facing backlash after a security officer was involved in a physical altercation with several female guests. This incident has put the festival in danger of losing support from the public, as well as potential sponsors. A Ukrainian model has filed a complaint against the organization, and videos of the altercation have gone viral due to the presence of numerous cameras capturing the event.

Among the guests involved were Kelly Rowland, a former Destiny’s Child singer, who had to be restrained while confronting the security officer, and South Korean singer Yoona, who also had a tense interaction. However, it was the Ukrainian model Sawa Pontyshka who suffered the most harm. She was forcefully pushed by the officer and subsequently dragged away, leaving her feeling violated and traumatized.

Pontyshka has taken legal action against the festival organization and is seeking damages for the harm caused by their actions. Screenshots of the altercation shared online show her seeking compensation for her injuries and emotional distress. The festival organizers have not yet responded to her complaint, leaving many people wondering how they will handle this situation moving forward.
