On Monday morning, there was a fatal shooting outside UNC Health Johnston in Clayton, North Carolina. The incident took place around 6 a.m. in the hospital’s parking lot off N.C. Highway 42 following an altercation. Unfortunately, one person was killed as a result of being shot by the deputy.
UNC Health released a statement confirming the shooting, stating that there is no ongoing threat at the hospital campus. The scene was secured with crime scene tape near the hospital entrance as authorities investigated the incident.
