According to Elliotte Friedman in his “32 Thoughts” podcast, the San Jose Sharks’ head-coach search has progressed to second interviews. Friedman reported that assistant coach Ryan Warsofsky has had two interviews, while former Detroit Red Wings head coach Jeff Blashill is about to have his second. It is unclear if Ontario Reign coach Marco Sturm will have a second interview.

Friedman also shared an amusing story about Ryan Warsofsky and Brian Rafalski on his show, providing a glimpse into how the insider operates. Last week, Friedman mentioned that the Sharks were considering Jeremy Colliton, the former head coach of the Chicago Blackhawks, for the position.
