Dion shared with her Instagram followers that she had been diagnosed with a rare progressive neurological disorder called stiff-person syndrome. This condition was unfamiliar to many, and Dion acknowledged that she had been hesitant to share her health struggles earlier but was ready to open up now.

The muscle spasms associated with stiff-person syndrome had significantly impacted her daily life, making even simple tasks like walking a challenge. Unfortunately, these symptoms had forced her to cancel her planned tour, which was devastating for her.

Dion shared that she was working diligently with her sports medicine therapist to regain her strength and ability to perform, but she admitted that it had been a difficult journey. She described the challenges of managing this rare disorder, including the stiff muscles in the torso, arms, and legs, as well as increased sensitivity to noise, touch, and emotional distress. These symptoms could trigger muscle spasms at any time, making it difficult for Dion to carry out daily activities.

Despite these challenges, Dion remained optimistic and hopeful about her future. She thanked her followers for their support and encouragement during this trying time. She also encouraged others who may be struggling with similar health issues to reach out for help and support from friends, family members or healthcare professionals.
