On May 15th, 2024, SGMC Health recognized Kimberle Strawder, RN, with the health system hero award for May. Strawder has been a part of SGMC Health for 26 years and currently works in outpatient nursing. She was praised for her warm, kind, and dedicated nature, as well as her careful attention to detail in providing care to patients.
Jessica Musgrove, the Director of Surgical Services, highlighted Strawder’s commitment to her patients, peers, and the organization. She said that Strawder’s reputation for always prioritizing the patient and her unmatched dedication to accuracy earned her the system’s Safe Care recognition as well. This award honors individuals who play a crucial role in ensuring the health system’s dedication to safety and high reliability principles.
During the honoring ceremony, Strawder received a standing ovation from those in attendance. They applauded her hard work and dedication to providing exceptional care to patients at SGMC Health.
