Armand Duplantis, the pole vault athlete, achieved his seventh world report on the Diamond League Last. After clearing six meters, 23 centimeters, Duplantis celebrated by operating over the stands together with his arms raised within the air. This was the second world report set on the season-ending meet, with Ethiopia’s Gudaf Tsegay additionally breaking the ladies’s 5,000-meter report. Duplantis wanted just one try and clear 6.23m, a centimeter larger than his earlier report. His historic bounce positioned him far forward of Ernest John Obiena, who completed in second place.
Duplantis expressed his pleasure after setting the world report and expressed hope to realize even higher heights in his profession. Tsegay, the ladies’s 5,000-meter report breaker, took almost 5 seconds off the earlier report and narrowly missed breaking the 14-minute barrier. The efforts of each athletes have helped to decrease the ladies’s 5,000m report by almost 11 seconds over the previous three years.
