In the southern end of the Gaza Strip, at least seven people have died in Israeli attacks this morning in the city of Rafah. The Israeli Army is continuing its offensive in the neighborhood of Shujaiya in Gaza City, where it returned last Thursday. The military claimed that they killed dozens of terrorists through hand-to-hand combat and aerial support over the weekend.

According to Palestinian sources, explosions were heard in western neighborhoods such as Rafah, Tal al Sultan and Saudi. Israeli aircraft bombed other neighborhoods in Gaza City, including Al Tuffah, Sabra, Tal al Hawa and Al-Daraj. Medical reports indicate that deaths and injuries occurred as a result of these airstrikes, with a particular focus on Shujaiya where ambulances and paramedics have been unable to access due to ongoing shooting from Israeli troops.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that their forces are operating throughout the Gaza Strip, eliminating dozens of terrorists every day. However, this offensive has left the region devastated with residential buildings reduced to rubble and schools destroyed. The Gazan population is now at risk of famine due to ongoing conflict between Israel and Gaza. Israel entered Rafah in early May and its tanks are now advancing through western neighborhoods of the city.
