A Guinness World Record attempt is taking place in Philadelphia with organizers seeking audience members to participate in the world’s largest drag story time reading. The event is being held at the National Constitution Center on Saturday, June 5th, starting at 9 a.m.
The record attempt is being organized by The Philadelphia Gay News and sponsored by Visit Philly, and will feature several drag performers from the Philadelphia region reading aloud from children’s books in an effort to set a new world record. Brittany Lynn, a well-known drag performer, will be emceeing the event.
A Guinness World Records adjudicator will be present to supervise the event and ensure that all guidelines are followed. This event is being timed to coincide with the beginning of Pride month, which will feature various events across the city throughout the month of June.
