The Seahawks announced the signing of UFL running back Ricky Person Jr. on Monday, marking their latest move in the offseason. Person had previously played for the Birmingham Stallions, and this addition to the team brings new energy and talent to the roster.

To make room for Person, the team made three cuts by waiving cornerback Ro Torrence, defensive end Rason Williams, and running back TaMerik Williams. All three players had signed with Seattle as undrafted free agents in May.

Ro Torrence had a standout 2023 season at Arizona State, with 37 tackles, two tackles for loss, two sacks, and one interception. In his previous season as a redshirt junior in 2022, he led the team with eight pass breakups and 36 tackles.

Rason Williams transitioned to the defensive line during his time at Louisiana Tech, where he started all 12 games and recorded 25 tackles and 2.5 sacks. TaMerik Williams returned to North Dakota State for an extra year of eligibility in 2023 due to COVID-19. In his extended season, he played in all 15 games with 14 starts, leading the team with 767 rushing yards.
