The Seattle Seahawks have signed free agent running back Ricky Person Jr., who has received multiple offers from NFL teams after playing for the USFL’s Birmingham Stallions last season. Standing at 6-foot-1 and weighing 222 pounds, Person played college football at NC State, where he recorded nearly 2,000 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns from 2018-2021. He also had a stint with the Baltimore Ravens but has yet to play in a regular season game.

Given his experience and performance in college and in the USFL, Person has the potential to make an impact on the Seahawks’ running game. As he competes for a spot on the roster, fans will be watching closely to see how he performs in training camp and preseason games.

Person will likely start at the bottom of the Seahawks’ running back depth chart, behind players like Ken Walker, Zach Charbonnet, Kenny McIntosh, George Holani, TaMerick Williams, and Kobe Lewis. In order to secure a spot on the initial 53-man roster, he will need to impress during the preseason. With his impressive track record in college and his experience playing in both college football and the USFL, Person is well-equipped to make an impact on the Seahawks’ running game.
