In baseball news, the Little League All Stars have been underway with Twin Cities remaining the only undefeated team in the 11-year-old division after defeating Mill Valley 2-1. This win gave Mill Valley their first loss of the tournament. In the 9/10s division, Tiburon Peninsula narrowly beat West Marin 7-6 while San Rafael suffered a loss to San Francisco American with a score of 7-6. Ross Valley earned their first win by defeating Galinas Valley by a score of 13-2. However, San Rafael, Galinas Valley and West Marin are still in search of their first wins. Tiburon Peninsula currently sits in fifth place behind Novato North, Novato South, Mill Valley and Twin Cities.
Meanwhile, the Novato Knicks had a successful doubleheader against TKB Baseball in Watsonville winning both games (10-7 and 7-6). The Knicks, who consist of college-level talent, will host TKB in another doubleheader at San Marin High on Saturday at 11 am.
