In this exciting experiment, we’ll be exploring the world of chemical reactions using simple materials that you probably already have at home. Join us as we create colorful explosions with Magic Milk Fireworks!

To start, gather a pie tin, whole milk, red and blue food dye, dish soap, and optional items like cookie cutters and a dropper. Fill the bottom of the pie tin with a thin layer of milk and add a few drops of red and blue food dye. If you have cookie cutters, place them in the milk to create different shapes.

Next, using a dropper or q-tip with a small amount of dish soap, drip the soap onto the food dye in the milk. Watch as the colors magically fan out and create a fireworks-like effect right before your eyes!

The science behind this experiment is fascinating. The soap breaks down the fat molecules in the milk, causing them to separate and move in different directions. This is a simple way to demonstrate how soap works to break down particles and clean surfaces.
