The Stewart C. Meyer Library in Harker Heights recently hosted the Lets Explore STEAM Program, which was met with excitement and wonder by elementary school students. Science Heroes, an organization known for their interactive storytelling and exciting experiments, were the featured guests of the program this week.

According to reference librarian and science programming leader Heather Heilman, it was the first time Science Heroes had performed at the library. She believed that combining various aspects of science within a story helped keep children engaged. The children present at the program were fully captivated by the interactive storytelling and experiments conducted by Science Heroes. The hands-on approach to learning about science resonated well with the young participants, who eagerly participated in the activities and experiments.

The combination of entertainment and education proved to be a successful formula for encouraging children to explore and learn more about science.
