In June, Science Central in Fort Wayne, Indiana will host its third Disability Day with a focus on animals. The museum is inviting individuals with physical, intellectual, and emotional disabilities to explore Science Central on Saturday with accommodations to make their visit more comfortable.

The goal of Disability Day is to create a more enjoyable museum experience for people with disabilities. Accommodations include access to listening devices, reduced noise levels, and fewer crowds. Additionally, Science Central is offering access to a sensory room and more hands-on demonstrations to enhance the overall experience for visitors with disabilities.

This year’s Disability Days will culminate on July 2nd with a theme centered around UFOs. Attendees can learn about different creatures and space phenomena through interactive exhibits and demonstrations. To attend the event on July 2nd, registration is required one week before the event. Walk-up registration is not available, and the event is free to attend. To register for the event, click here.
