Gareth Edwards, known for his work on “Rogue One” and “Godzilla,” will be directing the next installment of the “Jurassic World” franchise. The film will have a standalone story, separate from the trilogy that starred Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard. Scarlett Johansson, who has been a huge fan of the “Jurassic Park” series since childhood, will be starring in the movie.

Johansson expressed her excitement for the project, stating that she has been eager to join the franchise for over a decade. She described the original movie as life-changing and mind-blowing and cannot wait to be a part of the new film. The cast includes Jonathan Bailey, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend, Luna Blaise, and David Iacono.

The upcoming movie will be written by David Koepp, who previously worked on “Jurassic Park” and “The Lost World: Jurassic Park.” Johansson praised Koepp’s script, stating that it is incredible. Production for “Jurassic World 4” is set to take place in various locations, including Thailand, Malta, and the U.K. Steven Spielberg is serving as an executive producer for the film through Amblin Entertainment, with Frank Marshall returning as a producer alongside Patrick Crowley. Johansson expressed her disbelief at finally being part of the franchise and said she is willing to do anything to be involved.
