Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali are set to star in Universal’s next Jurassic World installment, which is set to begin production in London in mid-June. The movie will be directed by Gareth Edwards, with Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley producing. David Koepp, the original screenwriter of Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park, is writing the script.

Ali, who has won Oscars for his roles in Moonlight and Green Book, is known for his serious roles and is selective in choosing his projects. He has recently lent his voice to Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and starred in Netflix’s Leave the World Behind alongside Julia Roberts, Kevin Bacon, and Ethan Hawke. This potential involvement in the Jurassic World film would certainly bring a level of talent and gravitas to the project that fans are sure to be excited about.
