Sarah Bedsaul Hiza has recently been appointed as the vice president of engineering and technology for Lockheed Martin’s rotary and mission systems business. She has transitioned from her previous role as VP and general manager of strategic and missile defense systems within the company. In a recent LinkedIn post, Hiza announced that she will be leading a team focused on advancing innovative services and disruptive technologies.

Sarah Bedsaul Hiza has been with Lockheed Martin for over nine years, originally joining as the director of propulsion, structures, ordnance, and controls in 2015. She was later promoted to VP in 2017 and held various leadership positions within the company before assuming her current role in 2021. In addition to her role at Lockheed Martin, Hiza also serves as a member of the board of trustees at NOLS, a nonprofit wilderness school.

Prior to her time at Lockheed Martin, Sarah Bedsaul Hiza spent 11 years at Orbital ATK, starting as a research and development scientist before moving into leadership roles in technical operations within the company. Her extensive history with Lockheed Martin and experience in both engineering and business management make her an ideal candidate for this new position.
