The San Rafael Pacifics suffered a tough loss on Monday night, ending a four-game winning streak as they fell to Vallejo by a score of 8-7. Despite taking a 3-1 lead in the third inning and moving ahead 7-6 in the sixth, San Rafael couldn’t hold on for the win. Braxton King and Blake Diggle both had strong performances for the Pacifics in the game.

After their loss, San Rafael will be looking to bounce back with two games in Bakersfield before returning home for a series against the Train Robbers. In their previous game against Marysville, the Pacifics got a dominant performance from starter Alex Valasek, who struck out nine batters in seven innings of work.

Mark Hernandez, Beau Dorman, and Braxton King were key contributors in the win over Marysville, as they sparked the offense for San Rafael. With Hernandez driving in five runs and Dorman hitting his third home run of the season, the Pacifics had an impressive showing at the plate. The team scored in seven of the eight innings played, including a five-run outburst in the third inning.
