According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, Alvin Kamara may hold out of training camp. The running back has left the team’s mandatory minicamp due to his dissatisfaction with his contract. Kamara is currently under a $10.2 million base salary for this year, but things get complicated in 2025 when his compensation package increases to $25 million.

Efforts have been made by both sides to negotiate a revised deal, but they have not yet reached a compromise. If an agreement is not reached before the start of training camp, the big question will be whether Kamara decides to show up or continue to hold out. It is expected that the Saints will rework his contract after the upcoming season. Kamara is looking to secure more money and greater job security before the 2024 campaign begins.
