Occupational Health & Safety magazine reports on the collaboration between the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) and global technology firm SafetyCulture to offer new safety and health training courses for frontline workers. These training sessions can be completed on mobile devices in just 15 minutes, making them easily accessible to workers across the country.

Mary Goranson, ASSP’s Vice President of Workforce Development, expressed her enthusiasm for this new initiative, stating that essential safety and health courses are now available to workers in a user-friendly format. This collaboration allows employers to provide refresher training and enables the ASSP to reach more workers with critical safety information that can prevent injuries and fatalities in the workplace.

The 27 new courses, designed based on OSHA standards, aim to make compliance training interactive and accessible even in remote locations. Topics covered include fall protection, machine guarding, heat stress, hazard communication, and respiratory protection – all crucial areas for workers in high-risk industries like construction and manufacturing.

Organizations can access this training material on SafetyCulture’s online platform with a free account. This allows for the direct delivery of refresher courses to team members on their mobile devices. For more information visit SafetyCulture Training site.
