Consumers who purchased Reblochon de Savoie from Carrefour stores between May 23 and 24 should exercise caution, as several batches are being recalled due to the presence of E. coli bacteria. The specific products affected by the recall are the 230g Pochat Pointe Percée half-reblochons with a minimum durability date of June 14, 2024 and batch number 145184212. These products were sold across France in Carrefour supermarkets.

The Rappel Conso website advises consumers not to consume these products and to either destroy them or return them to the point of sale. The recall is due to the presence of “E. coli STEC strain O103: H2”, which can cause symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, and vomiting, followed by severe renal complications, particularly in children. Consumers experiencing symptoms should consult a doctor immediately, informing them of the product consumption and purchase details.

It is important for consumers to follow the guidelines provided by the authorities to ensure their safety and well-being. The recall procedure is in effect until June 14, 2024, and consumers may be entitled to a refund for the affected products. If no symptoms appear within 15 days after consuming the product, there is no cause for concern.
