Dignity Health, a multi-state nonprofit network that operates numerous healthcare facilities across Arizona, California, and Nevada, has recently partnered with SacValley MedShare to expand its services statewide. Originally operating within Northern California, SacValley MedShare has been facilitating the secure exchange of health information among healthcare providers for over a decade, supporting population health initiatives in the region. With this new partnership, SacValley MedShare will now be extending its health data exchange services to 30 hospitals across the state, significantly increasing the reach of health information sharing within the communities where Dignity Health operates.

The alliance with Dignity Health is a natural progression for SacValley MedShare as it seeks to expand its services beyond Northern California and improve access to vital health information throughout the state. According to John Helvey, executive director of SacValley MedShare, this partnership will enhance their capabilities and enable more effective innovation and collaboration in healthcare delivery across California.

Dignity Health views this partnership as essential for complying with AB133 regulations and ensuring adherence to California’s Health Data Exchange Framework. Adnan Hamid, regional CIO of CommonSpirit Health (Dignity Health), emphasizes their commitment to transforming healthcare through innovative partnerships and technology. By working with SacValley MedShare, they hope to achieve their vision of creating a healthier future for all by improving access to vital health information and expanding connections between healthcare and social services.
