In 2001, Sabika Jewelry was founded in Pittsburgh by Karin Mahr. The company quickly became a success, selling its handmade jewelry through direct sales at home parties across all 50 states. Over the years, Sabika grew and employed over 5,300 salespeople. Today, the Mahr family is proud of the impact their company has had on its customers and employees.

However, after 23 years in business, the decision was made to close the doors of Sabika Jewelry. Founder Mahr expressed gratitude for Pittsburgh and thanked everyone for their support throughout the years. She also emphasized the importance of every piece finding a home and invited everyone to celebrate with them in the coming weeks.

Sabika is currently offering all jewelry at half price on its website, and fans are taking advantage of the deals. The company’s closure means an end to commissions totaling over $44 million for the women who sold the jewelry. However, emotions were high as CEO Alexandra Mahr-Gracik discussed the final opportunity to purchase Sabika jewelry during a special open house at its office in Robinson on June 5th.
