This weekend, one of the top commits to Rutgers football class will be taking an official visit. Renick ‘Stretch’ Dorilas, a three-star defensive back, is set to visit Rutgers after committing to the team in March. Dorilas had offers from other top schools such as Tennessee, Penn State, Syracuse, and West Virginia before ultimately choosing Rutgers.

Recently, he was also offered by Miami. According to Rivals, Dorilas is considered one of the top 10 players in New Jersey’s class of 2025. He is a consensus three-star recruit and ranked as the No. 22 cornerback in the nation. Dorilas announced that he will transfer to Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, New Jersey for his final high school football season last year.

During his time at Union in New Jersey, Dorilas had an impressive performance with 40 tackles, including two tackles for a loss, two interceptions, and four passes defended. He took to social media to announce his official visit to Rutgers this weekend, marking the beginning of official visits for the Rutgers football team.

In addition to Dorilas, four-star offensive tackle Jaelyne Matthews also announced that he will be taking an official visit to Rutgers this weekend. This news signifies an exciting time for the program as they continue to attract top talent from across the country.
