Ayden Pouncey, a standout four-star defensive back from Winter Park High School in Florida, has received an offer from Rutgers football. Pouncey, who plays both wide receiver and cornerback, is highly sought after in the class of 2026 due to his versatility and explosiveness on the field.

Ranked as the No. 128 recruit in the 247Sports rankings and the No. 152 recruit in the nation according to ESPN 300, Pouncey has already received offers from several other schools including Boston College, Duke, Florida State, Georgia, Penn State and more. His recent offer from Rutgers came during a conversation with head coach Greg Schiano and running backs coach Damiere Shaw.

During their discussion, Pouncey was impressed by Schiano’s genuine nature and the emphasis on recruiting players who fit the program’s culture. He feels excited about the possibility of visiting Rutgers this summer and potentially signing with the program. Last season, he made 21 total tackles and had four interceptions, showcasing his skills on the field.
