According to recent reports, the Sacramento Kings are considering making a major move in the NBA. Michael Scotto of HoopsHype has revealed that the Kings have shown exploratory interest in trading for New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram. While discussions between the two teams have not yet progressed, it is also reported that the Philadelphia 76ers and the Golden State Warriors are also potential destinations for Ingram.

During the 2024 NBA Draft, Sacramento offered a trade package to other teams in the league that included players Kevin Huerter, Harrison Barnes, and draft picks. One of those picks was used to select Devin Carter with the No. 13 overall selection. General manager Monte McNair expressed satisfaction with landing Carter, indicating that the Kings may be less eager to include him in a trade. However, despite selecting Carter, the Kings still possess their first-round picks in upcoming drafts starting in 2026. They could potentially use these picks along with Huerter and Barnes to create an attractive offer for a player of Ingram’s caliber.

The addition of Ingram, who averaged 20.8 points, 5.7 assists, and 5.1 rebounds in the previous season, would greatly benefit Sacramento’s young core of players. With his impressive skills and statistics, Ingram would provide a valuable addition to any team looking to improve their offense and defense capabilities. If Sacramento can successfully make this trade and add Ingram to their roster, they could see significant improvements in their performance on the court and ultimately become a more competitive team in the league
