The Ross County Health District hosted their Homebase Health Fair last week, where community members had the chance to interact with the health district and learn about their services. Various programs were set up outside the office to distribute items and educate visitors about the resources available to residents of Ross County, including WIC, environmental health services, clinics and more.

During the event, the health district showcased their new mobile medical unit through an open house. This one-room exam bus, purchased with a grant intended for COVID testing, has the potential to be used for a variety of purposes such as vaccine distribution, educational opportunities and engagement with the community. Health Commissioner Janelle McManis expressed excitement about the new mobile unit and its capacity to address health barriers faced by residents of Ross County.
