The second annual Fun and Health Fair hosted by the Midtown Community Health Group was held at the Patriot’s Gateway Community Center in Rockford, Illinois. The event attracted families from the area, who came together to enjoy a day of healthy family fun. Approximately 40 vendors were present at the event, offering fresh produce and family-friendly activities.

Rockford Regional Health Council executive director Shelton Kay emphasized the importance of involving the whole family in such events. According to her, it allows children to have fun while providing valuable information and connections for parents. Through partnerships with various community organizations, the fair sought to empower residents by connecting them to health-related resources and promoting overall wellness within the community.

The goal was to create a welcoming environment where families could come together, learn, and engage in activities that promote healthy living.
