Houston’s Space Explorers: The Infinite experience has returned, giving visitors the chance to immerse themselves in a virtual replica of the International Space Station. With new additions to the exhibit, guests can feel closer to outer space than ever before. One of the latest features includes a five-minute video from NASA’s Artemis I launch on November 16, 2022.

As visitors enter the hour-long experience, they will first encounter an expanded “launch” element that includes LED lighting and a “haze” effect to simulate the firing up of a rocket ship. After removing their VR headsets, guests will then pass through a room featuring Japanese visual artist Ryoji Ikeda’s art piece, The Universe Within the Universe.
