The Pittsburgh Riverhounds have announced plans to build a new sports complex in North Huntingdon, Westmoreland County. This expansion will include an indoor soccer field and multiple outdoor fields for various sports. The Riverhounds’ owner, Tuffy Shallenberger, expressed his excitement about the project, which is located near the Norwin Town Square shopping center on a 42-acre space off of Route 30.

The Riverhounds emphasized that this new complex would expand their footprint and support other organizations in the community on their website. The facility will feature adequate parking, lighting for outdoor fields, a concession stand, and bleachers at each field. While the Riverhounds did not specify an exact timeline for completion, they are eager to provide this new facility for the public to enjoy.

This development signifies a positive step for the community and is likely to have a significant impact on local sports and recreational opportunities. The Riverhounds’ success since opening the AHN Montour Sports Complex in Coraopolis has inspired them to continue expanding their facilities and providing more opportunities for athletes of all ages and skill levels.
