The Mets organization has been keeping a close eye on their top prospects, and recent performances from Luisangel Acuna, Kevin Parada and Brandon Sproat in Triple-A Syracuse and Double-A Binghamton have caught their attention.

In Triple-A Syracuse, Acuna has been impressing with his consistent hitting, picking up 11 hits in 32 at-bats in the past week. The 22-year-old has increased his batting average to .254 and has had at least one hit in 20 of the 22 games Syracuse has played this month. Acuna seems to be settling in with the Mets and is experiencing his best offensive month, slashing .282/.324/.340. He has mainly been hitting singles but has shown power with six doubles in May and a total of 17 stolen bases this year.

Catcher Parada, the Mets’ No. 11 pick in the 2022 MLB Draft, is currently on a nine-game hitting streak in Double-A Binghamton. His average has jumped from .177 to .216 during this streak, along with hitting two home runs and a total of six this season. After a slow start in April, Parada has improved in May with a .750 OPS compared to a .596 OPS in April, totaling six home runs and 25 RBI in 148 at-bats this season.

RHP Brandon Sproat, also in Double-A Binghamton, had an impressive performance on Monday in his third start since being promoted from High-A Brooklyn two weeks ago. The 23-year-old allowed one run on four hits and two walks while striking out five in seven innings, lowering his ERA to 1.89.
