Zamir White, running back for the Raiders, had an opportunity to shine during the last season when Josh Jacobs was injured. In just four games, White demonstrated his potential as a starting back by rushing for 397 yards with an impressive 4.7 yards per carry. His standout performance came on Christmas Day when he ran for 145 yards against Kansas City. White also caught nine passes for 60 yards during that time.

Despite his success in the last season, White doesn’t see it as a sign of what’s to come in 2024. With Josh Jacobs leaving in free agency, White is now more determined than ever to prove himself as a valuable asset to the team. He expressed gratitude for being designated as RB1 and is focused on having fun and learning during OTAs.

White has also embraced his role as a more vocal leader on the team this season. His growth into a vocal leader has been noticed by newcomer Alexander Mattison, who acknowledged White’s evolution in the role and highlighted the unity and support within the running back group.

White’s career so far has seen him rush for 521 yards with one touchdown and catch 15 passes for 98 yards in just 31 games. Last season was definitely a stepping stone for him, but he is determined to build off of it and continue developing as both a player and leader for the Raiders.
