The Pittsburgh Steelers have added defensive lineman Willington Previlon to their roster after claiming him off waivers on Friday, as reported by the NFL’s transactions report. Previously cut by the Atlanta Falcons along with offensive lineman Nolan Potter, Previlon went undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft after playing college football at Rutgers.

During his time at Rutgers, Previlon accumulated an impressive 71 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, and three passes defended. Despite going undrafted, he signed with the Green Bay Packers and spent his rookie season on their practice squad before being cut during the preseason in 2021.

After being cut by the Packers, Previlon signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ practice squad but was eventually cut and signed by the Dallas Cowboys. However, despite spending most of last season on their practice squad, he has yet to make an appearance in a regular-season game. Now with the Steelers, Previlon will look to finally make a mark on the field and contribute to their defense.
