The United States of America holds the record for the most successful nation in this sport with a staggering total of 116 medals over the years, including an incredible five gold medals at Tokyo. Great Britain has won only one gold medal since they last competed on home soil at London 2012 but remains a strong contender for future games due to its rich tradition in the sport.
