The weekend at Sonoma Raceway is set to be an action-packed affair, with the NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series both featuring 50-minute practice sessions on Friday. These sessions will help teams prepare for qualifying on Saturday at the road course, with the Xfinity Series race taking place on Saturday evening and the Cup Series race happening on Sunday afternoon.
Last year, Joe Gibbs Racing claimed both the pole and the victory at Sonoma Raceway. This year, they’ll be looking to repeat their success as they face off against a number of other top teams in each series.
The weekend schedule includes a variety of events, including mostly sunny skies on Friday with a high of 77 degrees and wind gusts of 10-15 mph. The Garage will open at 10:30 a.m., followed by practices for both series later in the day. The ARCA Menards Series West race will take place in the evening as well.
