Women’s sports have long been underrepresented in the media, but that is all about to change with the launch of the Women’s Sports Audio Network (WSAN). iHeartMedia and Deep Blue Sports + Entertainment have officially launched the network, which will be the first-ever audio platform dedicated exclusively to women’s sports.

The commitment to championing female athletes and bringing more awareness to women’s sports on a nationwide and international level was expressed by Gayle Troberman, CMO of iHeartMedia. She emphasized that this marks a pivotal moment for women’s sports to have a voice and be heard. The collaboration between athletes, journalists, podcasters, and fans has made WSAN a reality.

WSAN’s lineup includes original shows like “Good Game with Sarah Spain,” hosted by ESPN’s Sarah Spain and executive producer Jessie Katz, which debuted its introductory episode on July 17. Other notable hosts joining the network’s inaugural slate are Madison and Anya Packer, Rennae Stubbs, Caitlin Thompson, Sheryl Swoopes, Tisha Alyn, and Khristina Williams. Each host brings a unique perspective and expertise to the conversation.

Laura Correnti, Founder and CEO of Deep Blue Sports + Entertainment highlighted that women’s sports are not just a trend but a significant moment in sports history. She emphasized that it is crucial for women’s sports content to be accessible and recognized and that WSAN aims to provide a platform for fans of all levels to engage with content focused on women’s sports. This network also opens up new opportunities for brands to invest in and engage with the growing community of women’s sports fans.
