The Village Shuttle ride request system is being introduced by the Snowmass Village Transportation Department as the shuttle service begins its summer schedule. The app, similar to Aspen’s Downtowner app, will be launched in June allowing riders to request shuttle rides through the app. In February, the transportation department announced that it would be licensing Aspen’s Downtowner software to enhance the Village Shuttle’s ride request system.

The Village Shuttle app can be downloaded from all app stores or by visiting bit.ly/Village_Shuttle_App. Users can request a ride through the app, which will direct them to the nearest Village Shuttle station for pick up. Users can search destinations by address, popular names, or by categories like dining and lodging.

The shuttle will operate its summer 2024 schedule starting on June 3. The shuttle will run on eight fixed routes from 7 a.m. to midnight daily. In addition, there will be a Business After Hours event at the Collective Hall in Base Village from 4-6 p.m. on June 5 for members of the Snowmass business community
