OpenAI recently unveiled ChatGPT-4o, an enhanced version of its chatbot during a live performance on May 13. This new version is available to all users, including those on the free version. It can process information from text, images, video, and audio, responding to queries in an average of 320 milliseconds in a human-like manner. The AI can also analyze and understand emotions in facial expressions and provide real-time translations in conversations between users speaking different languages.

Some features, such as audio and video interaction, will be available to paying users in the future. However, text and image interactions can be tested immediately. Meanwhile, Google announced updates to its Gemini model at its I/O 2024 developer conference. Gemini 1.5 Pro now features a one million token context window, allowing it to understand large documents and summarize information quickly. The company also introduced Flash 1.5, a fast and efficient version of Gemini available for testing.
