Framestore Company 3 Group (FC3) is pleased to announce the appointment of Lincoln Wallen as its new group chief technology officer. As a well-established company in the color grading industry, FC3 has worked on highly anticipated animated and live-action projects such as “Deadpool & Wolverine,” “Wicked,” “Transformers: One,” and “Despicable Me.” The latter two projects are set to be showcased at the Annecy Animation Festival this week.

In his new role, Wallen will focus on strengthening FC3’s relationships with other studios, institutions, and brands while identifying and facilitating strategic partnerships across various sectors such as business, technology, and academia. He will work closely with FC3 CEO Mel Sullivan and Company 3 Group CEO Stefan Sonnenfeld to enhance the company’s technological capabilities and innovative efforts.

Wallen holds a PhD in artificial intelligence from the University of Edinburgh and previously served as CTO at Improbable, a UK-based software company specializing in technology for simulations in gaming, defense, and virtual worlds. William Sargent, FC3 Chairman, emphasized the importance of having strategic minds like Wallen navigate technological advancements and create impactful stories.
