Monarch Landing, a continuing care retirement community located in Naperville, IL, has recently introduced Monarch at Home, a home health program. This service is specifically designed for the independent living residents of Monarch Landing who require assistance and wish to remain living within their apartments.

The program helps residents stay in their units for longer by providing them with access to professional care companions who can assist with tasks such as outings, personal care, and domestic chores. The service also includes visits from nurses who can coordinate medications and provide wound care and other medical treatments as needed.

One significant advantage of Monarch at Home is that it offers shorter visits than traditional services provided by outside agencies, which can save residents money. Associate Executive Director Kelli Cox explained that the program can help one spouse remain with their partner in independent living for longer by providing assistance with daily tasks.

Caregiver companions are carefully matched with residents to ensure they receive the best possible care. All staff members at Monarch Landing undergo thorough background checks and follow strict guidelines to ensure the highest level of quality care for all residents.

Monarch Landing is owned and managed by Harrison-based Senior Care Development and is an equity partner with Life Care Services. Other continuing care retirement communities have also expanded their offerings to include home health services like Monarch at Home.
