TuscBDD Superintendent Nate Kamban has announced a new partnership with Starlight Enterprises to transform a house owned by the agency into a technological showcase. This initiative will provide individuals with disabilities with an opportunity to explore how technology can enhance their independence.

Thanks to a grant, the necessary technology has been funded, but there is still a need for donations of new or gently used furniture and household items. Items such as kitchenware, mattresses, a smart TV, and a dining table with chairs are needed. Additionally, assistance with landscaping, painting, decorating, and staging the house is also welcomed.

Individuals interested in contributing to this project are encouraged to reach out to facilities director Drew Litty at 330-339-8714 or dlitty@tusbdd.org. The goal is to host an open house in August, with plans for individuals to start utilizing the house shortly after.

This collaborative effort between TuscBDD and Starlight Enterprises aims to provide a space where individuals with disabilities can test and experience the benefits of technology in their daily lives. By providing access to new technologies and resources, this initiative hopes to empower individuals with disabilities and improve their quality of life.
